BACKGROUND/PERSONALITY:

While Nagirl, Kandi Kane, and Frosteen are all results of experiments gone wrong, Tinker Toy is no accident. He’s just insane.

Raised in a rich but uncaring family, Todd Bradley’s  parents spoiled him at every opportunity, but gave him no real love.  Thus the boy grew up under the impression that “he who has the most toys, wins.”  He had it all, from stuffed animals to action figures, mobiles to models.  All his life, Todd had more toys than he could ever play with, and he could not part with any of them.

Todd was also a genius engineer, far advanced for his age.  By the age of 6 he was already taking apart things and fashioning together new, improved toys.  By 12 he was invented new things all on his own.  By 16 he was hired by a toy company.  However, Todd never developed any social skills. After all, when your closest connections are always under your control, why bend to other people’s wills?  So Todd did not adapt well to the working world, and was fired nearly as fast as he was hired. But not nearly enough.

In his short time with an entire research and development facility at his fingertips, Todd had invented devices.  Horrible devices that would ensure that anyone he wanted would be under his control.  He would make them all into his toys—literally.

Todd developed his signature Action Figure Gun, which can manipulate flesh into cardboard and plastic, leaving the victim a “mint-on-card” collectable!  He also concocted his Key-Chain, with a variety of wind-up keys attached. One prick and turn, and the person would be made into an immobile wind up doll, or even a stuffed animal, or marionette.  Todd also has a remote that can morph people into robots, ready for his control.   While he was at it, he also fashioned his new alias: Tinker Toy!

Tinker has no particular grudge against the heroines of Hub City.  They just happen to make the best toys!

After being forced by the Salesman to be part of a team to fight Team: Teen, Tinker was invited to form the true incarnation of Young Injustice by Gem Stone, an invitation which he eagerly accepted after looking at all the shelf space he had to fill up....
