You knew it was coming sooner or later. Since JMD and I are both part-time writers, we have a special fondness for people who can put together an engaging bit of fiction... certainly people who can do it are artists in their own right, allowing us to take a step back from reality and enjoy ourselves immensely. So it was only natural that Gorgon:Art would soon enough begin to host fiction archives for the members who would like to post stories to the G:A Yahoo group, as well as providing a repository for some of our own humble fiction. We're hoping to have some short fiction up soon featuring everyone's favorite heroines and villains from the Medusa Chronicles, and original works by ourselves, as well as those submitted by authors like yourselves! You'll also be able peruse some fiction that has been originally posted by us and others at other spots on the web, most notably the Legacy of Timeless Beauty Story Archive, The Pygmalion Syndrome and The Medusa Realm (shameless plugs for our buds Dmuk, Leem and Panic!). Is this a bit repetitive? Maybe so. But then again, we really wanted someplace we could call our own. And this works as well as anywhere. Of course, like every other wing here Gorgon:Art fans, enthusiasts and creators are encouraged to create their own works of transmutative and objectification-style fiction. Feel free to send those works, preferably in HTML or Word (DOC) file format, (and please, if you use pictures, include them... if it helps you to compress them up into a zip file, that's fine!) to argoforg@sbcglobal.net, or to post them straight-up to the Gorgon:Art Yahoo! Group files area here, if you prefer. But please, inform us if you would like to-- or prefer not to-- have your works archived here, so we don't step on your toes. And most of all... Enjoy! |
